Memorial meeting in Reutlingen, Germany

03.05.2003

The last meeting of our village community took place in the context of the memorial meeting for our dear fellow villager Dr. Josef Wüst, the editor of our popular "Dorftrommler".

Our dear Joschi, to whom we all owe so much, lost the fight against his serious illness on February, 19th 2003 and has left us forever. This sad news deeply shocked all of us. With Joschi we have lost the most important link of our village community.

Therefore Hans Loch and Konrad Löchel, both members of our local council, organized a commemorative meeting for Joschi as soon as possible. Numerous members of the village community travelled to the meeting, including Joschi's widow Helga with her children and grandchildren from Vienna. They chose the Gasthof Uhlandhöhe in Reutlingen, where our legendary 1st village meeting took place in 1989. Many thanks at this point to the two organizers for all their efforts and their quick work. The meeting was a great success and very atmospheric, we all had the feeling that this would be the last of our popular village meetings.

Below are some pictures from this last meeting. We will always keep Joschi in our memories.
